Cuddles come and cuddles go.

My youngest daughter a few months ago was a cuddler. She would come multiple times a day, put her arms around me and put her head on my shoulder. She would just stay like that for a minute or two, and it was the most beautiful thing. Then she would lift her head – and put her lips to mine before walking away. What an absolute angel.

But a few months have gone by and my little baby is almost 2 years old and she is very independent now. I noticed that she had stopped coming for cuddles – and I try asking her for one, to which she usually replies, no. I don’t let it get into my heart – I know it’s just a passing phase, but still, it reminds me how fast time goes by and how fast children change and grow up.

So, I try to remember to cherish the moment when my cuddles come and lay it up in my heart.

Thank you, Lord for these loving cuddles. Help me to not be too busy, but to stop and cherish them, and to lock that loving moment in my heart. Thank you, Lord for my lovely family.
